# 1 - THE GIANT KING SALMON OF ALASKA'S KENAI RIVER
65 MINUTES OF ACTION AND INFORMATION |
| A BEAUTIFUL 70
POUND KENAI KING This angler and his two compions fished from a 10 foot inflatable raft. Their net was only half as deep as the fish was long. Helpfull hints from the videotaping crew were welcomed by the fishermen, and followed explicitly. After battleing with this fish for nearly an hour, they were able to fit the king into their small net and slide it into their small raft. They were most deserving fishermen, obviously. |

VERY BIG KING THAT GOT AWAY This fish was hooked up for a long long time. It is truly a big fish. You only have to compare the king to the man with the net to see how big it is. It appeared very tired, but when it hit the bottom of the net it did a 180 faster than you could say "oh _ _ _ _". It was long gone before anyone in the boat could even realize they had lost a monster. |
| A HUGE KING LANDED
AFTER AN HOUR OF STRESS AND STRAIN ON THE ANGLER These visitors to Alaska rented a boat and went at it on their own. They had fished the Kenai the year before with a guide, so figured they knew enough to be able to hook a big king by themselves. Obviously they were right! The fight was a long and very tireing one for the fisherman. The techniques he developed as the fight dragged on were quite interesting. |
